BJJ vs. the World: How BJJ Rose to Fame via VHS Taped Street Fight Videos

We all know that UFC 1 through 6 were basically a live infomercial for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Royce Gracie press kicked and shot (sloppily) into every opponent, took them down or pulled guard and found his way to a submission. But even before these contests, the Gracie family had been slowly compiling footage of their family members involved in challenges. These challenges were issued (with an alleged cash prize of $250,000  USD) to anyone who thought they could defeat a Gracie representative. Check it for yourself below:

Sure, MMA does usually involved wearing a shirt. But why not start doing MMA in a double-weave, bleached gi like Royce?
