Hey everyone welcome to my blog!

My name’s Mark Summers. I’ve been a long time grappler and I made this site for two simple reasons.

  1. I had no idea how to make a website so here is my pathetic attempt! 🙂
  2. I wanted to share my 15+ years of grappling experience with everyone.

This site contains review information for anyone looking to get involved in BJJ/MMA/Wrestling but is unsure of what gear to buy. I’m going to show you what products are the best and also what are common issues or problems to avoid.

If anyone has questions please feel free to contact me.

Grappling Gear’s Reviews

Best BJJ Gis

This giant post covers everything you need to know about finding, maintaining and buying the highest quality BJJ gi. I cover some of the big mistakes that I see a lot of newbies making and share my suggestions with all the readers. The post is broken down into best value gi, light weight gis and some others. Enjoy

Best BJJ Rashguards

No-gi enthusiasts usually have a wardobe of nogi stuff that rivals their normal clothing. At least I know I have probably as many rashguards as I do dress clothes. This post is also a long one but I cover  bunch of my favorite brands of rashguards and suggest some really discounted ones for your cheap people out there. 😉

Best Headgear

Although not directly grappling related, I think getting good headgear is important for anyone who wants to actually start training MMA and NOT get your brain injured. Check out the reviews to find my top picks.

Best Grappling Dummies

While this is a relative new comer to the grappling market, dummies have been used for hundreds of years mostly for throwing practice. The fact is manipulating dead weight is pretty damn hard and using a dummy is a great way of learning how to move, support and throw that weight around. It also builds a TON of functional strength that you can really use.

Best Mouth Guards

I know you all want pretty teeth right? This post covers some of the basics of mouthguards and which ones I love the most.
